An image captured on the fabled Canning Stock Route, in the remote Simpson Desert in Western Australia. The Canning Stock Route is the world's longest cattle route and is now navigable by four-wheel drive vehicles. There is no habitation of any kind along the route, and is tackled by only the most experienced overland explorers.
The Canning Stock Route is a track that runs from Halls Creek in the Kimberley region of Western Australia to Wiluna in the mid-west region. With a total distance of around 1,850 km it is the longest historic stock route in the world.
